As a Jazz/Blues guitarist myself, I tend to stick to those genre's. Anything with a sexy guitar part (SRV, BB King, Robert Johnson, Clapton, Pat Matheny, Freddie Green, Russel Malone, all that Jazz. (See what I did there?

))
After that, I really dig the old, bluesy rock, such as Hendrix, Led Zeppelin ( <---My favorite), The Doors, Grateful Dead, The Animals, etc.
I am not really sure where Jethro Tull qualifies in all of this, but they are my second favorite band. (Thick as a Brick is what I listen to when doing all of my last-minute CAD for our sponsors in the middle of the season.)
I can listen to metal when I need to get pumped, but I am not a hardcore metalhead, so I stick to the more popular stuff, my favorite being Iron Maiden. I also really like Rammestein.
Pink Floyd is in there as one of my favorites.
But I do appreciate all types of music. I can dig rap on occasion (such as Snoop Dogg's cover of The Doors "Riders on the Storm," ) but that might be due to the school I go to, and how rap is the local music. I can sometimes go for Reggae (especially Armenian Reggae, look it up

.)
