You will probably enjoy this website as well. The Vintage Aviator is Peter Jackson's airplane collection, and they do lots of ground up extremely accurate restorations and reproductions.

This is their replica of the engine that powered the Red Baron's triplane that involved lots of one-off engineering and heavy metal.
