Re: FRC Team Spotlights #5: 148 "Robowranglers"

Not to mention if there was a ranking for Coopertition, they would win worlds every year.

We compete with (and lose to) them all the time and have seen them in many, many competitions, as we are only based 10 miles apart.
If you go to a regional they are at, you cannot help but see their team crawling around the pit, and sometimes swarming a team who can't get their robot running.

We hear people sometimes criticize team 148 as being selfish, but we as a team always defend them. While there robot is always better than everybody else's, and way cooler too, there are not a whole lot of teams more devoted to ensuring everyone at the regional is up and running.

Last year at the Dallas regional, among other international teams, was a team from Brazil (team 1801). They could not ship their batteries into the USA, so 148 graciously lent them enough batteries for the weekend.
I remember they spent all of Dallas 2012 slowly chopping away at a rookie kitbot until it was super tiny, so to make them as an appealing 2nd pick, all while keeping it operational enough to never miss a match.

I don't know how much you covered the gracious professionalism the RoboWranglers exhibit, but I will testify that most definitely are.
