No, the presence of the 30t idler does not affect the reduction or the overall contribution of the top CIM. See below,
2 CIM input ratio,
42 / 14 = 3
3rd CIM input ratio.
(30/14)*(42/30) = 3
At the 42t input gear, all of the CIM's have gone through the same reduction.
Hopefully this clears things up.
