Due 1/29-White House Film Festival - tech in schools

Subject: WHITE HOUSE STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL--12/11/13

Subject: White House Student Film Festival

Here’s a great opportunity for that young filmmaker in your house!

President Obama is inviting U.S. students, grades K-12, to submit a one- to three-minute video highlighting the power of technology in schools. Finalists could have their videos screened at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. and posted on the White House website, YouTube channel and social media pages. Schoolwork posted on the fridge at home won’t be viewed the same way again!

The topic for this inaugural festival is “Highlighting the importance of technology in the classroom -- and imagining how technology will change the educational experience for kids in the future.”

Students’ parent/guardian or teacher sponsor must submit entries, and all submissions must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo by January 29, 2014. Visit http://www.whitehouse.gov/filmfestival for official rules and submission information.

Good luck!
