Woodie gave a speech at the 2013 Denver Regional about the difference between FIRST and school. He said that school offers "training", where we sit in a classroom and listen to someone talk. FIRST, meanwhile, offers "education", where we learn by doing.
Coincidentally, Woodie was followed up by a humanoid robot dancing Gangham style.
