Seriously, one of the tricks of keeping out of burnout within the FIRST season is to have something else going on to switch your mind over to....so youre not totally focusing on robotics.
Back in HS, I would be doing theatre and robotics simoutaneously. I would do robotics from 4-7, and then run up the hallway and do theatre from 7-9:30, and then head home.
It was so refreshing, because Id be using my head for 3 hours and then I'd head up the hallway and use my feet, or my voice.
Benefits: Your entire team shows up for the performances. I once found myself at a performance where one of our engineers brough 6 little kids with him (we were doing "Annie")
Disadvantages: In 99 I came back from the Philly regional late sat nite, my voice shot. I had a 6 hour rehearsal the next day....it looked like the director was going to kill me
But still, find yourself a distraction.
