Re: Replacement for Classmate

I would say if you have the budget I might go for something with a bigger screen and a more powerful processor. The classmates, and most computers with 10-11" screens are fairly slow, and upgrading to a faster computers makes robot communication stabler, usually speeds up the camera speed, and allows you to do more complicated dashboards.

But if you do want to stick with a netbook, just make sure it has Windows 7 or 8, and if you can buy one with an SSD because that will make booting alot faster, which helps when you have to occasionally reboot between matches.
