In case anyone has not been keeping up with the news, the man responsible was quickly detained by the very efficient Purdue Police Department. You can read a timeline

I struggle finding the best words here, but it's hard to fully realize what happened today, especially considering how close we all were to the incident. You never think it will happen in your area until it does. I still am struggling to realize this happened. I especially sympathize for people I know who were in the same building, one even in the same classroom.
I didn't know him personally, but I have read and heard many accounts of him being a truly good man. I hope that for whomever knows him personally can find some solace. Many Purdue networks have reached out with
their condolences and calls for solidarity.
Around 8:00 P.M. tonight, Purdue held a
candlelight service in Memoriam. It was beautiful yet bittersweet to see the Purdue Community come together like that.
I'm struggling to continue writing this, so I'll end with this:
