try something like this

FileConnection fc = (FileConnection) conn;
if (!fc.exists()) {
fc.create();
}
OutputStream os = fc.openOutputStream(fc.fileSize());
After opening the file with the above code snippet if you are going to write something to the file then it will append at the end of the file content
