if you use pwm cable to wiring them, no difference. However I highly encourage the use of jags if you have a good programming team. There are a lot of useful features they offer none of the other options do. Such as a build in PID mechanism and controls in various ways such as set speed, position, or current based. You can also read current draw from the motors and program in software limits since fuse ratings may be too high to prevent damage this feature could be used for that.
