No rules directly prohibit it. Keep it mind the wiring and power distribution rules. You might also need a DC-DC boost power supply if the monitor requires 12volts, as the battery can dip below 10 volts during operation.

One of the features I'm working on for ocupus is using an android tablet as a tethered VNC client, that could even be removed before competition start.
