The power/speed isn't as big of a deal for many veteran teams. Many veterans have a transmission in their gearbox to make for high torque or high speed on demand.

The biggest advantages I've seen of using the CIM as opposed to the Drill? Heat & Mounting.

The CIM's don't heat up anywhere near as quickly as the drill's do. They also have mounting points built into the motor housing making a gearbox a relitivly simple task.

With the pre-made gearboxes for teams, I expect the majority of the rookies to be using the drill's with prefab boxes and the majority of veterans having their own gearbox with CIM
