The Kinect is not communitcating to the DS.
1. Check that the Kinect is powered and connected to the computer.
2. Check that the drivers and server are installed and up to date.
when you hover over the red dot?
Also,
this document has some basic troubleshooting. (Mainly have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again)
