In the autonomous independent vi, there are examples built in there to help you out. I recommend using a flat structure case to help run your autonomous in steps. If you have encoders on your drive train, you can use the encoder clicks as a distance to measure by. If you don't you can try time, but it will be dependent on your battery. If you have a low charged battery and run the code and it falls short, that means the motors are not getting the exact power it needs to move where you want it. Make sure at the end of the of your sequence of events that you stop the robot, or else your robot will drive endlessly until tele-op.
