Re: Snow Day = "Virtual School Day"

I think this is a great idea in theory for a traditional high school to pursue and have in their back pocket for snow days. This would also allow for students with illnesses that are either contagious or serious to complete assignments, such as mono or strep. It would also allow for suspended students to continue with assignments in a way that could immediately be graded and save from someone having to bring it to the student or a parent pickup up the assignments.

Virtual school already exists and will be an option for these students when they move onto collegiate settings. This will give them an opportunity to experience this, even if just for 1 day, and allow them to see if it is a classroom style they would like to look more into. I enjoy online classes and am currently working on my Master's through an online program. Off the top of my head I can recall taking 23 credit hours online for my bachelors.
