At Hub City last year (our 1st regional) we had no guard on our shooter wheel.

At Dallas (our second regional) they made everyone with an unshielded wheel put some type of guard around them.

Guards were not explicitly required in the rules last year either, but it very well could be as high speed wheels are a safety hazard.

In testing last year the tread came of our HT wheel we used to shoot the frisbees. The tread swung around and did a catastrophic amount of damage to our .08 aluminum shooter body (and completely snapped the MiniCIM shaft off)
