That said, I am trying the same thing, more or less, and am getting 0-sized images out of the Axis camera.

I'd encourage the First / WPILib owners to actually try out the vision sample code with an Axis camera and advise. Also, I found that the output pathnames work better if they are fully specified; that is "/tmp/threshold.bmp", "/tmp/Filtered.bmp"
