I would say no, that doesn't count as a display to sponsors, but don't take my word for it. If you email
frcteams@usfirst.org and explain why you want to unbag, they can tell you whether or not that counts. If it doesn't, they might give you an exception and let you open it anyway.
Remember to print out the email from FIRST that says you can open the bag and for what purpose and bring it to all of your competitions.
