For the most part, I agree with this. Overall, I think it's tough to stray away from a "standard" (i.e. Ken Burns slideshows, clips of student/mentor/community member interviews, etc) of sorts while still showcasing what your team does. And, in my opinion, that's okay. A lot of FIRST and the Chairman's Award criteria is showcasing how people are inspired, and words definitely say more than pictures!

However, every so often you see something really cool and you remember it. One of the ones that I recall quite well is 2337's video from 2013. Although it still follows the "standard" I mentioned above, the drawing animations give it a little extra shazam (and a little humor when you notice the glasses drawn on everybody!)

Also, as an alumni of 27, and the one who was "the" video editor for 2.5 years of my 4 on the team, I have to say that I'm really impressed with 2014's video. (Actually, I loved 2013's as well - I guess the videos got better once I stopped making/helping with them )
