I believe it only went down to
the 65th actually, but initially the top 50 teams in MAR were invited (it has increased to 55 this year). Interestingly,
only 49 teams actually attended.
However, with there being an extra week between the last MAR District and MAR Champs this year, and also less teams that are already qualified for WCMP choosing to decline their invitation to MAR Champs, it seems like invitations are only going as far down as
to the 60th ranked team this year.
