NYC was so much fun this year. So many good teams attended and raised the level of play, teams had to bring their A game and did.

It was a crazy weekend and I'm so proud of how our team did, #2 seed is the highest seed we have ever achieved. With that seed we built a great alliance. 1796 you guys were awesome and it was a thrill to finally get to play with you. 2344, we played with you in your rookie year and it was great to get to play with you again, I wished we could have gotten your long shot working in a match, it would have been tough to beat. We had a solid alliance but the #7 alliance just had our number, they did a fantastic job.

To the eventual champions, I'm so happy you guys pulled out the victory. 334 you guys have grown so much in the past 3 years it's crazy, I'm happy you will be representing NYC at champs, make all of us proud. 4039, what more can I say, you guys were in it to win it. You have a great robot and a great group of kids, you were doing absolutely everything you could to get the win. You stalked my personal youtube page, that's the kind of thing I love to see. 1884, you guys played your role perfectly and made sure that your alliance had a 3 assist cycle without leaving the ball on the ground too long. With all 3 teams winning their first regional it was a site to behold, you energized the entire convention center with your joy.

To 353, huge congrats on your chairman's award. You guys do so much on your team to spread FIRST and I'm glad you will bringing that example with you to championship.

Lastly a quick shout to 3940 who absolutely came to life during the end of the competition after a tough first 2 days. From a broken catapult to 100 points on your own in a match, I've never seen a team shoot so high up our picklist in a day. You guys should be very proud of what you accomplished this year.

To all the teams and people that make the NYC regional what it is, thank you and I look forward to seeing all of you in the offseason and at the regional next year.
