So something that might be helpful to add would be to make it SmartDashboard compatible. That might make it alot more accessible to teams because it can easily be added as just a variable on the dashboard. You can get python binding for SmartDashboard here

I don't have a CRIO on me, but I attached a version that uses the exact same method of communicating as we were doing earlier in the season, so it should work. It just has two bool variables (right_in and left_in) and should just use the standard smartdashboard VI's or functions and be compatible with all versions.
