Here are some of the factors that could cause a "good" and a "bad" mecanum drive to have different traction:

- type of wheel (model number)

- manufacturing tolerances of wheel

- manufacturing defects of wheel

- improper adjustment of wheel rollers

- improper alignment of wheels on vehicle

- frame warped or too rigid

- poor weight distribution

When it comes to traction, all mecanums are not created equal
