A few hints to spark the conversation.........
Our drive/chassis system is called the "Hexable drive". If you take the roots of the word you may understand what we have done.
Time will tell if we have selected the path that will get us to our goal (no pun intended here).
Personally this year, myself and the students have taken on the fabrication of the robot with the engineers hand in hand to a greater level then I thought possible at our school. Delphi made investments in a Bridgeport, Lathe for my meager shop. We made 95% of any part that we needed making or it was off shelf and did not outsource if it could be avoided. We STAYED within the Limit on $$$$ including labor. I hope that other teams did the same.
