Since that video (which I still find hilarious! Sorry), I've taken game pieces to the face several times, including a Frisbee to the eye last year that had me wearing an eyepatch in my sleep for about a month. (And yes, I WAS wearing safety glasses. They didn't help.)

To the original point: I've seen things get ugly, and like Ed said above - those people need to be banned. You don't treat volunteers or fellow teams like that. Sadly, it's one of the side effects of a competitive environment that we're going to occasionally run into -- but it's up to teams not to allow that culture within themselves. Gracious Professionalism is the first lesson our students get on 1923. Would your grandmother be proud of your behavior?
