Calling all teen entrepreneurs!

Hello fellow FIRSTers! I am starting a business and entrepreneurship online community for teens who are interested in teaching themselves vocational skills, starting a company, or making something awesome that makes the world a better place.

http://teenpro.net/

You can read the longer version of why I started teenpro here and see my business experience here, but here's the short version.

I've always been interested in business, entrepreneurship, and skills like graphic design, software design, and video editing, but I never met anyone my age who was also interested in it as a serious career path. I Googled "teen entreprenuers" and similar terms, and came across very little information written BY teens, and most of what I read was very vague. The articles seemed like they were written by older people who might not understand the changing business climate and what the market needs now, and assume that the only technical jobs teens can get are as programmers and graphic designers, while in reality teen skills cover a much wider range of professional application. (But those are great skills too, obviously. The articles just weren't thinking very creatively.)

So I started teenpro as a way for teens to help each other out in the very exciting journey of teaching yourself skills, not depending on school to fulfill you creatively (which it doesn't), and potentially starting a business.

Please join the community! Right now there aren't many people, but we can grow it to be a strong and larger community. I know that there ARE entrepreneurial minded teens out there, it's just hard finding them.

So if you know of friends who would be interested, please share teenpro.net and what we're about!
