Hand & Power Tool Safety Training

FIRST Team Mentors,

I have a Hand & Power Tool Safety Training test.

As most of you know, we need to conduct Hand & Power Tool Safety Training for our students.
We also need to appease the lawyers. Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.
If you don't conduct this training, you leave your team open to allegations of negligence after injuries to students occur.

This is in no way to suggest that conducting this training is legally adequate, but at least it shows that you are taking measures to train the students in the safe and proper use of Hand and Power Tools.

Here is the video:

PM me and I will send you the test.

I also have made a "kahoot", it is an online multiple choice test that students can play with their smartphones. I use it in my classes and it is a great way to reinforce the ideas presented in a test before or after the students have taken it. Preferably after.
It is an enjoyable activity where students argue about the correct answers.
(Teachers on your teams may already be using this.)
You can then discuss the logic behind the rules governing the proper use of Hand & Power Tools.

You can make a free account at:

If you want to take this approach, PM me and I will share the test with you.
