Hmmm..... I learned how to love learning again through a class or rather a program called the learning community that had a similar approach to mentor-style teaching as the FIRST program. (which explains my fondness for FIRST)

The website will tell you all about it. I am listed with the alumni for 1989 and 1990 (Amber Hannay). The committment level required is so intense that the kids at Los Altos High School were referring to it as "The Cult" a few years back.
I learned not to judge people or things at first glance, loyalty, integrety, and how to travel as lightly as possible through foreign countries.
Oh yeah, I also learned how to sing. Which is handy, since I am going to be a voice coach at the College of Eastern Utah next fall. (It was so weird. I walked in thinking I was going to audition for a scholarship to put myself through school, and I walked out a teacher. Too weird.)
