I can go a little further back...
1999 - our team, 157, had what we called an "outrigger" system that allowed us to climb onto the rolling puck without issue (for the most part, lookin at you 45

2004 - I believe both 190 (Gompei) and 126 (Gael Force) had pretty awesome climbing mechanisms. 190's was simple yet effective, they could block the bar so it made it difficult to latch on. 126 could reach up and climb from the floor without having to climb the steps.
2002 - How we failed to mention 71 and their crazy but superb walking mechanism along with their ability to grab all 3 goals...if you haven't seen video of this yet, you are missing out...
