This is what I thought last year. Then at nationals I found I was unhappy with matches that resulted in < 100 pts. Thats what it took to stay on top, not winning: winning
BIG. The layout of elims this year promotes this even more. If you set out to crush the opposition and they get "lucky" once, your done.
Your explanation would work if everyone set out with that mindset, but not everyone wants to crush the other team and win with minimal QP's.
Of course these are just my opinions and I'll probably be proven wrong, but until then I'm going to stick to them!
