Re: <R3> A. Robot Height

This is actually a question for G22, not R3. At the time of inspection, the robot will be sitting normally. So you could pass inspection that way. In fact, even if your robot has the Physical ability to extend higher, you can still pass R3 by claiming there are Software features that restrict the height.

G22 is the rule that will be enforced by the refs on the field, and specifies the penalties for violation. The blue box below it also specifies some examples of what they expect the refs to see and how the refs can make a quick judgement while on the field.

You would have to ask the Q&A TO get a more specific ruling than G22 provides.
