Have you considered making the triangular part on the back of the clip a little larger, perhaps twice the size? If you add holes along the bottom backside of the clip ( with a bit larger triangle... ) you could adjust the angle of the front face of the clip by simply moving a the bottom connecting pins to new locations.

Just in case you new assembly's added to the front of the clip need angle tweaking.
