We're having a similar issue... here is the relevant log piece log that we are getting:

15/Jan/2015 20:09:05,803- DownloadProgressController: Could not download the JRE
java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
at java.net.SocketInputStream.read(Unknown Source) ~[?:1.8.0_11]

It was downloading at 3 kb/s, then I went to dinner, and when I came back it had aborted and this message was in the log. Any ideas?
