It's tax time, don't forget that some FIRST volunteer expenses are deductible
Because FIRST is a 501c3 public charity you can deduct your volunteer expenses for travel, lodging and meals if you itemize your deductions on your taxes.
Between the 5 events I traveled to last year there was a substantial amount spent that I can deduct.
I know a lot of people don't itemize, but if you had to travel to more than a couple of FIRST events last year it might be worth looking into.
