Seems like we could still wire the compressor the old way, but why aren't we required to wire through the PDP?

Thoughts? Comments?
I would just like to point out that the PCM is connected to PDP and has a 20A fuse on the port that it is connected to. And of course the PDP is connected to the main breaker.
