The process I might go through:
1) I would do is make sure there is a red LED that is on when main power is "on"
2) Double check the RJ-45's to the controller. push them in again. Make sure that you know the sequence of controllers coming from the NXT.
3) pull gently on the power wires and the wires that go to the motor to make sure they are firmly connected.
4) Check "motors and sensors" setup and make sure that it is defined correctly in the code,
5) check that the code that tells the motors to go is working.
6) Get a new motor and plug it into the controller. Don't remove the existing motor, just have the new motor loose and plug the white connector into it (or screw in the Neverest). You just want to see if the motor is turning.
