"Seek not the depths of your knowledge
With a staff or sounding line
For self is a sea boundless and measureless
and the soul walks all paths."
~Kahlil Gibran
I picked this as my sr. quote. 'Why?', this post asks would this mean something to me. well, as time goes on, and hardships come and go, you see your self facing so many new challenges that you would think you would never accomplish, you begain to doubt what you can do.
And for one thing the whole time I had been looking for a sr. quote, or trying to make one up, they kept coming out cynical; sarcastic; apathetic; and pessimistic (really?

) But when I came across this I paused and thought (

yes, it happens). I'm always 'preaching' to people how you should never limit your self, or doubt what you can do, there is so much out there, and so much potential in people, you should never limit yourself.
Go for things, push the limits in yourself, see how far you can go,
and see how exhilarating it will be.
'and the soul walks all paths.' ? well, I'm rather one of a romantic (lit. term) and that line is rather fascinating, that you can try so much, and there are no boundaries, that even your soul wanders upon every possibility.
((OK, i tried to make it serious ... sorry if i failed and many times i said 'you' i also meant it as a reference to myself, but as i said, i mean it to everyone, for Kahlil Gibran's words where to everyone. And this is just the way I see it, you can take it as something else.))
