We've recently taken to calling one pair of scissors the "Magic Scissors". They
look about like this, and a casual observer might think they're "funny" and not good for anything. But they're fantastic at "soft" materials like pool noodle, pneumatic tubing, dual-lock, fabrics, and rubber sheets. We've also cut some wire with them better than the wire cutter part of our one wire stripper.
If it won't cut otherwise, try the Magic Scissors.
