I think we have run into this same problem. Our experience is that we can ping the robot using both the hostname (mDNS) and the IP address but the DriverStation won't connect to the robot. Most the time closing and reopening the DriverStation solves the problem. Sometimes we have to reboot the entire DS laptop.

This has us worried as to what happens if the RoboRio resets during a match. Will we be able to reconnect?
