Ask an Expert: FRC Scouting Using Tableau

Please join members of FRC Team 1983 (Skunkworks) and Tableau staff to discuss best practices on FRC scouting, utilizing the Tableau software that was included in the FRC Kit of Parts. This event will take place Wednesday, February 24th at 9:00pm (ET). The experts will discuss the pros and cons of qualitative and quantitative scouting, and will go over a new technique that will allow teams to take advantage of the strengths in both methods of assessment. They will do a live demonstration of the tools that Tableau offers and provide additional scouting resources for teams. As always, there will be an opportunity to ask questions during the live broadcast.

To watch the broadcast and participate in the Q&A Session, please visit the Google+ Event Page for the FRC Scouting Using Tableau broadcast. Hope you can join us!

FIRST Lobby Now 254% More Awesome

Check out the new addition to the FIRST HQ Lobby.

We want to thank our friends from FRC Team 254, The Cheesy Poofs, from San Jose, California, USA, for loaning us a version of their 2014 World Champion robot. We’re taking their willingness to loan us a robot as a sign that we’ve put that little corn dog tiff from last year behind us, and for that, and for their robot, we are very grateful. Let us never speak of corn dogs again.

Thanks, guys!

Frank
