Wow! Thanks for one hell of a compliment! As much as we would love that honor and recognition, 1114 has an iron clad grip on that #1 slot, and deservingly so.

As a team that spent an entire build season gunning for a design that we felt made for the best landfill capable robot, 1114 is able to do things that we thought were actually impossible. That's a word I very rarely, if ever, use when it comes to FIRST, so that is basically the highest level of praise I could ever think to give to a team.

When we were doing our efficiency trials, we just didn't think it was possible to have a machine operate at a level that made it capable of COMFORTABLY clearing the entire 18 landfill totes and creating those 3 RC capped stacks given the time limit. We felt 3 capped stacks is a goal we would be striving for all season and may never come reasonably close to sniffing in terms of actual achievement in competition. The timing cap just seemed too severe and in a game where rushing (ironic, I know) is not necessarily ever in your best interest when it comes to scoring those high point stacks, it didn't seem comfortably possible. Still, that's our goal, and we hope to eventually get there. 1114 is there, on week 2 mind you, with enough time to spare to do laps around those 3 capped stacks. That's insane. Hats off to 1114 for an absolutely inspiring achievement in robot design.
