I think submitting a request for being featured in the LIVE section would be possible by sending in feedback through their website feedback form
(linked here) . Also, it would be cool if someone created a geofilter for champs. I would think it is more likely for the Snapchat team to realize that the event is going on if a filter was created and submitted. People can submit geofilters they create to the Snapchat team
