Before they printed the Strati, they used HVA as a test case. Their 2014 FRC robot was the first system printed on BAAM. It gave Local Motors, now one of their sponsors, confidence that BAAM (developed by ORNL) could print a car. It takes about 2 hours to print their robot. They built 4 robots this year
