I'm a rookie mentor for a rookie team. We placed next to last at Annapolis (AHHHHH!!). STILL.....had a great time. We were the other Sparky - Team 1111 - and one of the locals at the event. I'm hooked and plan to be back next year (if the team will keep me

)
Kudos to the Chesapeake Regional Team for putting on a spectacular event. I'm sure there were some behind the scenes glitches, but from my viewpoint, everything went like clockwork.
I'd like to give a big thanks to Team 271 and to the Broadneck/Severn/Nav Acad team for supplying us w/ drill motor transmissions for our last match. You all were life savers. We had drive train problems all day Friday into Saturday - we'll chalk it up as a learning experience.
I'm glad many of you enjoyed coming to Annapolis, and hope that some of you got to walk around the historic district (right outside the Naval Academy). There's plenty to do and see here (if you're not tied up fixing your Robot like we were!)
Congratulations to all the winners, you all are tops! Best of luck to all of you who go on to Nationals. Look for us next year in Annapolis.
