If we keep doubling the number of championship events every 24 years, it'll only take 240 years until there are over 4,000 world champion robots. This may quickly become a problem, as there will soon be more world champion robot spots than teams. The exponential rate of increase of championships is at an all time high, and is currently higher than the growth rate of humans, high schools, FRC teams, and places that can host FRC championships. In 770 years, FRC championships will most likely outnumber human beings on earth, which will cause terrible overcrowding.

This xkcd comic is applicable:
Heck. If you do it like in the comic, then its not a 24 year gap, its a 1 year gap! 2016 we have one championship, 2017 we have two! If we extrapolate, it takes only 10 years to get to the 4000 championships mark.

This is much more dangerous than we thought isn't it.
