Lightbulb Re: FIRST Comedy hour

How many posts of Chief Delphi does it take to change a lightbulb?

6 posts from non-moderators asking moderators to change the threads location to "chit-chat", Technical, or back to just general.

18 posts arguing whether or not you should utilize E-Saver bulbs as they are the girl scout cookies of FIRST.

24 posts discussing propoer sizing and interface of said lightbulbs, with Ether writing a nice piece on proper illumination vs. energy utilization vs. task optimization post.

4 posts of people who only spent 200 hours making their own programmable version of the ESaver bulb but it requires you use a CRio to operate complete with pictures.

2 posts related to the guys who made their own not wearing safety glasses during their first test (one complaining about the lack of glasses, and one complaining about safety theatre).

4 posts from LRI asking that students please not mess around with high voltage set-ups.

18 suprising posts into the merits/perils of stools vs. ladders (with an end agreement that your mileage may vary).

and last but certainly not least....

42 posts about whether or not a student or mentor should change said lightbulb with an obligatory 30 dead horses being beaten, and a general agreement that a student and a mentor should be involved, but little consensus on which holds the ladder...

And 1 post where IKE attempts to make a point by doing some math:

So how many posts does it take? 1+42+18+4+2+4+24+18+6=118 posts later and the dim bulb is still dim.* Posts don't change a lightbulb, people taking action do.

*I actually believe a lot of very good discussion and learning happens on CD, but had to poke fun at some of us that try to sway opinions which it turns out are quite hard to sway...
