One student from each team is able to be a part of the Beantown Blitz judging panel, lead by two NE FIRST Judge Advisors! Each attending team may nominate one student as a Judge, to do so please email BeantownBlitz@gmail.com with their name.
The goal is to introduce students to the judging process. As such we will be walking them through deciding 4 awards: 2 Technical and 2 Team Attribute. The awards we will be giving out will be roughly based on the FRC awards for Creativity, Engineering Excellence, Team Spirit, and Gracious Professionalism.
We're very excited about this opportunity for students and teams! We hope they gain some insight in how the judging process works and apply their new knowledge to the 2016 season!
Judges' Schedule:
745 - Report to judges room for quick training
815 - Attend Opening Ceremonies
830 - 1145 - Pit interviews
1145 - 1230 - Deliberations
1230 - 1300 - Lunch
1300 - 1445 - Script Writing
1445 - 1500 - Watch Alliance Selections
1500 - 1800 - Watch Eliminations/Award Ceremony

Love this idea! FRC judging is an aspect of competitions which can be hard for many teams to get a "behind the scenes" perspective on, and this seems like a great way to do it. Is this opportunity open to teams that are not competing, but who are providing volunteers?
