I find that in practice most phone passcodes aren't. A birthday, an obvious favourite 4-digit number like the FRC Team, or just "1111" or "1234".
The Android pattern unlock codes aren't necessarily any better because the mind remembers shapes better than it does random sequences of numbers. Which led to this fun moment during build season:
Student: How come everyone seems to know how to get into my phone?
Me (mentor): You mean this? *picks up his phone, enters his pattern unlock code*
Student:
Other students: *all laugh*
