The score sheet is data entered TWICE into the excellent software (which is not used universally everywhere) by two different volunteers and if the data entry matches, the score is accepted, otherwise one data entry volunteer has to change their answer after resolving who is right.

I do know of one team that signed off, but later informed the ref that they got points for a mission they did not accomplish and their score was lowered. I think this helped them earn an award from the judges who heard the story at lunch time.

I know when I did Vex they did this at the SC state championship. It prevented several arguments (some by my own team).
